Attention: Parents with a child receiving special education services in WPPS! Each school year the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) is required to report to the U.S. Department of Education the "Percent of parents with a child receiving special education services who report that schools facilitated parent involvement as a means of improving services and results for children with disabilities." WPPS is providing you with an opportunity to participate in a short survey. Please see the links below. Students from WPMS/HS were fortunate to have an in-depth field trip to the West Point Volunteer Fire Department. During their visit, they participated in an agility test, worked various pieces of equipment, practiced their communication skills, had a Q&A with staff, and even got to ride in a fire truck. Special thanks to Chief Cheatham (WP), Firefighter/AEMT Herrington, Firefighter/Paramedic Bacon, Lieutenant Archer (KW), and Chief Brown (KW). WPPS is very thankful for our community partnerships!
