During last night's School Board meeting, we proudly recognized Headley Bowis, our VHSL Indoor Track 1600-Meter State Champion!

As a freshman at West Point Middle/High School, Headley captured the state title in the 1600m and received her State Championship ring. She was celebrated in front of a packed room of family, friends, teammates, coaches, and school staff.

Our newly renovated lower elementary playground is now open! As students, families, and community members enjoy this exciting new space, we ask everyone to help keep it safe and welcoming for all by following these playground guidelines:

🟠 Adult supervision is required for all children.
🟠 The playground is not open to the public during school hours.
🟠 Play safely and respectfully. No roughhousing, pushing, or unsafe behavior.
🟠 Use equipment as intended. No climbing on the outside of slides, roofs, or railings.
🟠 No bicycles, e-bikes, scooters, skateboards, rollerblades, or other recreational wheeled devices inside the playground area. Please park bicycles outside the fence.
🟠 No pets are allowed inside the fenced playground area (service animals are welcome).
🟠 Keep the playground clean and dispose of trash properly.
🟠 Use the playground at your own risk and report any damage or safety concerns to the school.
🟠 No smoking, vaping, alcohol, or illegal substances on school property.
🟠 The school division reserves the right to ask individuals to leave for unsafe or inappropriate behavior.
