Today, we remember Dr. King’s powerful reminder that “injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” His words remain just as relevant today as they were during the Civil Rights movement. His legacy challenges us to stand up for fairness and dignity for all.

Virginia School Principal Appreciation Week is a time to thank our school leaders! 🌟 Today we recognize Laurel Byrd, WPMS/HS principal, for guiding students with care and championing staff and learners. Thank you for all you do!

REMINDER: There will be no school on Monday, January 19, as we observe Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Classes will resume on Tuesday, January 20.

King William Area Forester Dave Slack visited WPHS to work with our Environmental Club members, providing hands-on training as they prepare for this year’s Envirothon competition.

We appreciate the time and expertise shared to help our students grow their environmental knowledge and skills!

January is National Mentoring Month, a time to celebrate the power of guidance and connection. Mentors help students and colleagues build confidence, discover strengths, and reach new goals. 🚀

🎅 Before Santa started his big night of deliveries, he made a special stop at WPES to spread some holiday cheer—and remind all our boys and girls to stay on the nice list in the days ahead! 💙🧡✨

Our 8th grade Science students mixed learning with holiday cheer by making Borax ornaments! ❄️🧪 They practiced measuring skills and creating saturated solutions while designing their own ornaments. It got a little messy—but a lot of fun was had!

🎶 Our kindergarteners and third graders kicked off the holiday season in the best way—with music, smiles, and holiday cheer!

Our third graders delighted the audience with their performance of The Reindeer Whisperer. Way to go, Pointers! 💙🧡

Winter Break is almost here! 📣

Our students will be off Monday, December 22 through Friday, January 2. We wish all WPPS families a fun, safe, and joyful holiday season.
