The 2024 Senior class challenged their teachers and staff to a friendly basketball game! The Faculty defeated the seniors by 3 points, and the final score was 52-49! Great job to everyone who participated, and thank you to all of the fans who came out to support!

Attending school every day is essential for building strong academic foundations and developing important life skills. Let's instill the value of attendance in our students and empower them to take charge of their education. 🙌
Parents, if you’re experiencing attendance-related challenges, please reach out to your school office for help.

Congratulations to Ms. Raef and the 6th & 7th grade chorus, High School Chorus and Harmonix! All ensembles received superior ratings from the judges which is the HIGHEST RATING! They had lunch at Chick Fil A and the employees shared how wonderfully behaved all four buses of students were when they came through the restaurant. They were polite, well mannered, and great examples of how West Point Students should be!
Also, Ruby Kate Vincent, Mallory Billet, and Molly Vincent were selected by audition to participate in all state chorus in April in Richmond. Ruby and Mallory are high school delegates and Molly is a middle school delegate.
Congratulations!

Second graders wowed the audience with their musical talents on Thursday night. They sang beautifully and had fun with their songs Spring, Spring, Spring and Born to Make Music.

Kindergarten students shined during their Spring Concert. They were dressed to impress and showed off their moves in songs. We all enjoyed Rainbows Rock using their colorful scarves!

Melody Makers composed of select 4th and 5th graders performed an outstanding concert this past Thursday night. They captured the audience with their amazing singing voices and dance moves with special choreography by two of our very own 5th grade students! Way to go everyone!

Happy Music in Our Schools Month! Music education promotes resilience, discipline, and perseverance—qualities that empower students to overcome challenges and achieve their goals. Let's continue to invest in music education for all WPPS students! 🎶

Attention: Parents with a child receiving special education services in WPPS!
Each school year the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) is required to report to the U.S. Department of Education the "Percent of parents with a child receiving special education services who report that schools facilitated parent involvement as a means of improving services and results for children with disabilities." WPPS is providing you with an opportunity to participate in a short survey.
