Vaping can have serious long-term effects for teens and young adults! 🏥 While e-cigarettes are often marketed as a safer alternative to traditional cigarettes, the truth is that we still do not fully understand their impact on health. Research shows that the aerosol from e-cigarettes can contain harmful substances that may lead to respiratory issues, cardiovascular problems, and even increased risk of chronic diseases over time. Protect your health and make informed choices. Let’s stay vape-free and prioritize our long-term wellness! 💪

7th grade science in action! Mrs. Tate's class explored the fascinating process of osmosis by placing eggs in different substances and recording their observations for 10 days. From shrinking to swelling, these egg-citing experiments brought science to life! Hands-on learning for the win!

Ms. Harlow's third-grade reading groups spent time reading and comparing fiction and non-fiction books based on robots. This week, they concluded the unit and researched how to build a robot and we were able to build a robot with a small motor and AA batteries. The students concentrated on reading, research, mathematics, the scientific method, and working as a team to solve problems!

Recycling helps preserve natural resources and reduce waste. As we recognize America Recycles Day, let’s focus on recycling the right way at home. Set up labeled bins to help separate recyclables from trash—it makes sorting easier for the whole family! 🌿

Dual use is a dangerous choice! Many young people who vape also smoke traditional cigarettes, leading to increased exposure to harmful toxins. This dual use can worsen health outcomes and complicate efforts to quit both products. It’s vital to understand the dangers of mixing these substances and commit to a vape-free, smoke-free life overall.

West Point Middle High School students auditioned for District Chorus yesterday. Our students competed with students in our music district from Hanover County, Henrico County, and Richmond City. The best singers are selected from the audition. This is the largest number of students ever chosen from West Point! Congratulations!
