State Board of Education recognizes West Point Public Schools as an innovative division
WEST POINT — The State Board of Education recognized 15 school divisions for designing and
implementing innovative plans focus on enhancing instructional methods and improve traditional educational practices. West Point Public Schools was among the few selected which began its innovative plans in 2016. Divisions were selected if their innovative plans implement alternatives to traditional instructional practices, improve student learning, promote college, career readiness and good citizenship. This is the first year the Board of Education recognized schools as “School Divisions of Innovation" making West Point among the few included in the inaugural class.
